Multiple equity sectors turn positive:
Equities have been volatile, but several sectors are now back in positive territory. Technology, small caps, and emerging markets are up on the year. Other sectors are inching closer to breakeven.

How you allocate determines your portfolio's risk and return characteristics. To achieve your long-term objectives, you'll likely need to grow your portfolio. Equities, though periodically volatile, are often the best choice. Even retirees need to think of growth, so they don't outlive their assets.
Talk with your advisor about your long-term goals and how much risk is appropriate for you. Ask what it means to focus on risk-adjusted returns and the benefits of diversification:
As a fiduciary and fee-only advisor, I don't make money by selling financial products. This means I'm free to recommend the strategies and investments that really make sense for couples and individuals, based on a clear understanding of where they're headed in life.
